Hello BOWA members.

Post  5speed on Fri Apr 04, 2008 4:13 pm

Hello everyone, my name is Jake. I live in Tampico Illlinois, yeah its the brithplace of Ronald Regan, big tourist town. The town is more of a village, and we dont get many tourists, but we do have a museum Very Happy

I have been working in a printing company as a distribution tech. for just over a year after leaving a 10 year career as an auto tech. in a Chrysler and G.M. dealership.

I have been a bowhunter for 18, and every hunter needs a 4X4. Two years ago I sold my 86 GMC short bed 4X4, and regreted it right away. So the search was on for a S-10 Blazer. Now that I have one I keep trying to test it to try and find its limits. I soon hope to have the confidance that I once had with the GMC.

I look forward to sharing information, and stories with the forum. The site looks great, nice work everyone. I know that it took some time, and a group effort. Thanks!!

Welcome. 2dr 4wds are the way to go if you ask me. I do hunt as well but I need to hurry up getting my landowners for deer shotgun season.

Welcome, glad to have you. I am not into hunting, but I do shoot shotgun and pistol often (trap, sporting clays, and range shooting). It is expensive to get into but its fun (I am looking at pistols and wow they ain't cheap). Especially right now ammunition keeps going up, as well as reloading supply costs. Nice looking blazer though.

You can still hunt without a 4X4, or a truck for that matter. A couple years back I took my dodge neon hunting and ended up shooting a bruiser. Live weight was around 300lbs. Yepper, he fit in the trunk......Kinda

My brother in law done that once. Strapped it to the luggage rack on the back of his mustang. The funniest part was that a guy that I worked with was telling me a story about seeing a mustang with a deer strapped on the back.
