Summer camping trip

So i was thinking as a first meet we could possibly do like a camping trip since many people have to drive somewhat of a distance. this would let their trip be worth it instead of a one day thing.

I was thinking the camping trip could be to the dells, door county, or devils lake. all of those areas r great outdoors kind of areas in the state here. whats everyones opinion?

I like the idea of camping out at any of those locations. I haven't really gotten to explore those areas much and i think it would be fun to go to any of those places.

That sounds good. My GF is a member of KOA and gets discounts at there camp sites. So if there is on in the area you want to go let me know and I'll have her make the reservations.

ya i've seen those KOA signs in the dells b4. i'm not sure about the other areas. but ya we'll keep it in mind

I'm up for weekend of camping. However if it is going to be in June, I can go on a couple weekends. May 29- June 1 I'll be at Fire college and the weekend of the 14th I'll be in Florida at my cousin's wedding. Fire college is not set in stone so I could skip out on that if needed. Other than that all I need is a little advanced warning on the date so I can get off work. I hope these date don't interfere because I'm really hoping that I can make it.

we'll try and work around those dates since so far there r no other complications. and yes the date will be out in advance so people have time to get off work and stuff if need be.

Thanks. Don't worry about the Fire college thing there really wasn't anything that I wanted to do there. I can skip out on going into a 600-800*F concrete building.

I believe a bunch of people in BOWA may still be in school at the time. I would be up for a camping trip in July or early August. Pretty much a Friday night -Sunday morning sort of thing would work the best. Just need to have enough notice to ask off of work and make sure nothing else is going on (the 4th of July weekend would be a bad weekend to meet up).

ya thats what i was pretty much thinkin go there fri night stay sat and go home sun. and ya ik pretty much everyone does stuff 4th of july weekend so thats out. we'll figure it out.

Just wondering if anyone has a better idea of when we could do this. Anytime in July is good for me at this point.

Really I can pretty much do it during any weekend during the summer. I just need to know when we are going about a week or 2 ahead, so that I can ask off and what not. The only week i know for sure I can't is June 25-28th (Country USA weekend).

I would be game for devils lake. It is a 30 min drive from the dells if we wanted to go there, otherwise there is lots of hiking and other things to do around there. Plus there is a very nice state park there (that lets you use a WI state park or National Park sticker to get a vehicle into the park). The state park also has lots of campgrounds that are nice and not to expensive. Here is a link to the State Park website and a link to hikercentral.com, which gives some info on the park.

ya i think we should decide on a weekend or something soon here. i was thinking mid to late july? i cant do much in june.

Not sure why I'm the one alway bringing this up. Maybe is because I really need a chance to get away. Anyway since its now July I was thinking that either the weekends of the 19th or 26th would work for me. Hopefully one of those two weekends works out.

ya sry i've been super busy lately. prolly the 26th would work best for me. gives me some time to get off work lol
